Our world needs all the positive energy that we can give it right now.
Wish flags are small simple pieces of cloth with positive messages written on them. They are meant to be hung outdoors where the messages can be shared freely. They are inspired by the Buddhist tradition of hanging prayer flags to spread positive messages into the universe.
I am hosting a Wish Flag Exchange: -Send me 5 small fabric banners that you've made and I'll send you 5 back that were made by other people. -Each banner should be about 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide (22.5 cm by 15cm) with a small channel along the top edge for a string to fit through. -They should be made of cloth and should be flat with no buttons, beads or other thick embellishments. -They should have a positive message of some sort. You can paint, draw, print, stitch or embroider your message, but please don't add any bulky or thick objects. -They do not have to be elaborate or neatly finished. It is absolutely okay for them to be simply made and to have raw unfinished edges. -Each banner can be similar or different. It's up to you. I will send a variety back to you.
-Please mail your wish flags to me by May 15. When I've received them all, I will swap them around and send them back to people. I will cover the cost of return postage. That's why I'm asking people to keep them flat - to keep the cost of postage down.
